Shory Group, an AI-driven insurtech company under First.tech, has announced a strategic collaboration with OrbitWorks, the United Arab Emirates’s commercial satellite constellation production and operations company, in a move aimed at exploring new commercial opportunities at the intersection of satellite technology and insurance.
The partnership will examine how OrbitWorks’ satellite infrastructure and geospatial intelligence capabilities can support Shory’s underwriting and risk assessment models, while also opening new possibilities for insurance coverage tailored to space-based assets. Early areas of collaboration include satellite asset insurance as well as the application of geospatial data in flood detection, environmental monitoring, and fleet coverage, to improve risk analysis through more accurate, real-time insights.
OrbitWorks’ Altair constellation, a 10-satellite Earth observation network equipped with optical, infrared, thermal and RF sensing technologies, has been designed to provide near real-time geospatial intelligence through onboard AI processing, significantly reducing the gap between data capture and actionable analysis.
Shory, which has built a strong regional presence in insuring complex and high-value assets such as infrastructure, fleets, and large-scale commercial developments, is part of Judan Financial Holding, backed by IHC.
